Poetry
Is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.
Indeed, poetry is an emotion, a feeling, and an art of expressing one’s thoughts, and a poet knows how to present the inner thought with elevated words. Yes, as you may have guessed, in this blog we will be delving into the life of famous poet Nitin Soni, popularly known as the curly poet.
Early Life and Education
Nitin Soni, a poet, story writer, lyricist, and social activist from India, was born on March 18, 1990. Delhi-based Soni graduated from Dr. Zakir Hussain College with a bachelor’s degree in English.
He is an expert in the field of poetry writing. His first book, The Broken Boat, has a collection of poems about current social issues.
The Broken Boat
The Broken Boat carries the splintered sense of society’s weaker portions to the shore, grappling with a variety of social, moral, personal, and familial themes ranging from poverty, racism, hunger, identity, frustration in love, system failure, gender discrimination, and women’s anguish.
With a touch of social and political reality, he has approached all of these issues. Some of the poems mourn the erosion of ethical, moral, and human ideals. In addition, the poet laments man’s dehumanized and devitalized character in current times. Nitin’s poetry, which is more concerned with modern man and urgent concerns surrounding the issue has found a hyped-up manifestation of woman’s agonized sense. In 2016, Amazon India ranked The Broken Boat as the best-selling poetry book.
State Coordinator of Kalam Library Project
Nitin Soni was a key figure in the APJ Abdul Kalam Library Initiative, which aims to make literature more accessible to impoverished children and prepare them for a brighter future.
The author believes that the greatest approach to educate young minds is to provide them with access to libraries. “While studying English Literature, I was a government school student who had difficulty adjusting to private school pupils. As a result, we must prepare these impoverished youngsters to avoid such problems,” he stated.
